Privacy Policy

I-Resuscitate (the “App”) was developed by Mr. Vito Sgromo (the “Developer”) as a commercial app. By downloading, storing or using the App, you accept to by bound by the following Privacy Policy (the “Policy”), as well by the General Terms & Conditions (the “GTC”) enclosed hereafter. Before downloading, storing or using the App, therefore, you should make sure to carefully read and understand both the Policy and the GTC. The terms used in this Policy, unless otherwise defined herein, shall have the same meaning as in the GTC.

  1. Data collection and use

The App does not require you to provide any personal data, as such term is defined in Article 4 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”). According to Article 4 of the GDPR, personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (i.e., a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person).

In order to ensure that it is maintained as useful and efficient as possible, however, the App may collect the non-personal data (i.e., data which are different from the personal data described above) listed in the present Privacy Policy. Such non-personal data shall be collected through a third party service provider, whose privacy policy is available at the following address:

  1. Log Data

In case an error or a malfunctioning occurs, the App shall collect, though a third party service provider, certain data and information concerning your device commonly referred to as “Log Data”. Log Data include information concerning your device, such as (i) model, (ii) operating system, (iii)  configuration when using the App, (iv) date and time of use of the App and (v) other statistics.

  1. Cookies

Cookies” are files bearing a small amount of data, commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers, that are sent to your browser from the major part of the websites you visit and are usually stored in the internal memory of your device. The App does not make use any independent Cookies. However, the App may use third parties’ codes and libraries that make use of Cookies, in order to collect information and improve their services.

You shall be kept adequately informed at any time about the origin, type and scope of any and all Cookies sent to your device and you shall have the right to either accept or refuse such Cookies. However, please be informed that, if you refuse to receive the aforementioned Cookies, the App may be prevented from performing certain of its functions or to preform them in the most efficient manner.

  1. Links to third parties’ websites

The App may contain links to websites operated by third parties. If you press on the link provided by a third party, you shall be directed to the relevant website. Therefore, I strongly advise you to carefully read and understand the privacy policies of such websites, before pressing any link provided by third parties. Please be informed that I have no control over any third party’s website and that, therefore, I shall bear no responsibility, whether contractual, non-contractual or of any other nature, for the contents, privacy policies and commercial practices of any third-party’s websites.

  1. Personal data

The App provides you with the possibility to report and register -by inserting them in certain blank fields- several Personal Data of the patients, such as (i) name, (ii) surname, (iii) age, (iv) sex and (v) any other Personal Data you consider useful in order to improve your future ACLS attempts. Please be informed that the registration of such Personal Data of the patients is by no means necessary in order for App to perform its functions.

The Personal Data listed above shall be stored only in the internal memory of your device. The App shall not, under any circumstances, collect such Personal Data, neither autonomously nor through third parties service providers. You shall bear any liabilities arising from the treatment of the Personal Data of the patients. Therefore, I strongly advise you to make sure you (i) keep your device (and the access to the App) secure at any time and (ii) comply with any applicable laws concerning the treatment of Personal Data in your jurisdiction.
