The UB-ROSC score is a novel score, based on Utstein variables, to be used in-field and predicts the probability of survival to hospital admission of OHCA victims. UB-ROSC shall help in setting realistic expectations about sustained ROSC achievement during resuscitation manoeuvres, an important target for paramedics, rescue teams and even more so for family members.

Privacy Policy

UB ROSC (the “App”) was developed by Mr. Vito Sgromo (the “Developer”) as a commercial app. By downloading, storing or using the App, you accept to by bound by the following Privacy Policy (the “Policy”), as well by the General Terms & Conditions (the “GTC”) enclosed hereafter. Before downloading, storing or using the App, therefore, you should make sure to carefully read and understand both the Policy and the GTC. The terms used in this Policy, unless otherwise defined herein, shall have the same meaning as in the GTC.

  1. Data collection and use

The App does not require you to provide any personal data, as such term is defined in Article 4 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”). According to Article 4 of the GDPR, personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (i.e., a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person).

In order to ensure that it is maintained as useful and efficient as possible, however, the App may collect the non-personal data (i.e., data which are different from the personal data described above) listed in the present Privacy Policy. Such non-personal data shall be collected through a third party service provider, whose privacy policy is available at the following address:

  1. Log Data

In case an error or a malfunctioning occurs, the App shall collect, though a third party service provider, certain data and information concerning your device commonly referred to as “Log Data”. Log Data include information concerning your device, such as (i) model, (ii) operating system, (iii)  configuration when using the App, (iv) date and time of use of the App and (v) other statistics.

  1. Cookies

“Cookies” are files bearing a small amount of data, commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers, that are sent to your browser from the major part of the websites you visit and are usually stored in the internal memory of your device. The App does not make use any independent Cookies. However, the App may use third parties’ codes and libraries that make use of Cookies, in order to collect information and improve their services.

You shall be kept adequately informed at any time about the origin, type and scope of any and all Cookies sent to your device and you shall have the right to either accept or refuse such Cookies. However, please be informed that, if you refuse to receive the aforementioned Cookies, the App may be prevented from performing certain of its functions or to preform them in the most efficient manner.

  1. Links to third parties’ websites

The App may contain links to websites operated by third parties. If you press on the link provided by a third party, you shall be directed to the relevant website. Therefore, I strongly advise you to carefully read and understand the privacy policies of such websites, before pressing any link provided by third parties. Please be informed that I have no control over any third party’s website and that, therefore, I shall bear no responsibility, whether contractual, non-contractual or of any other nature, for the contents, privacy policies and commercial practices of any third-party’s websites.

The App doesn’t provide or collect any personal data.

Terms & Conditions

  1.  Use of the App

The App was developed and is intended solely for experienced advances cardiovascular life support (“ACLS”) providers, duly qualified according to any applicable laws and regulations. The App was not developed to and shall not be considered, under any circumstances, as a tool capable of replacing the education, training and field experience required to properly manage ACLS events.

You shall not download, store or use the App if it does not fully comply with any laws or regulations applicable to ACLS management in your Country or if it does not align with your medical practice. Please be informed that you shall need to deepen in the functioning of the App, before using it in an actual ACLS event. The Developer hereby expressly disclaim, to the extent permitted under any applicable laws, any liabilities, whether contractual, non-contractual or of any other nature, directly or indirectly arising from the use of the App.

Please be aware that if you delete the App you shall lose any and all data you have collected up to that time and that, in addition, if the Developer, at his sole discretion, has in the meantime decided not to provide the App anymore, you shall not be able to download it once again. The Developer accepts no liability for any data loss, whether direct or indirect, you experience because of the removal of App or for any other reason whatsoever.

  1. Operating system and device

The App was developed and is intended to be used on iOS [.] (the “System”). The technical features of the System (and of any systems the Developer shall, at its sole discretion, decide to extend the availability of the App to) may change. You shall need to download any System updates, in order to ensure the correct functioning of the App. The Developer shall not be bound to make any changes or to update the App in order to ensure its correct functioning, if the technical features of the System change or if any new version of the System is released. 

You should refrain from jailbreaking or rooting your device (i.e., the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the System provider of your device). Any of the aforementioned activities could make your device vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise the security of your device and prevent the App from correctly functioning in whole or in part. In order to ensure the correct functioning of the App, you should maintain your device charged at all times.

  1. Updates

The Developer is committed to ensure that the App is as maintained as useful and efficient as possible. Therefore, the Developer shall have the right -but shall not, under any circumstances, be bound- to fix, make changes and update the App, at any time and for any reason. Please be informed that you shall need to download any and all App updates, in order to ensure the its correct functioning. No fees whatsoever shall be due to the Developer because of any change, updates or improvements to the App.

  1. Intellectual property

The App is intended to be downloaded, stored and used as it is. The App itself, as well as any trademarks, patents, copyrights, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to the App pertain and shall pertain solely to the Developer. You’re not allowed to copy or modify the App, either in whole or in part. You’re not allowed to extract the source code of the App, to translate the App into a different programming language, or to develop any derivative versions.

  1. Internet connection

In order to perform certain of its functions the App requires an efficient internet connection. Such connection can either be Wi-Fi, or provided by your mobile network provider. Please be informed, however, that if you have not access to a Wi-Fi connection (as well as if you do not have any data allowances left) the App might be prevented from functioning at its full extent.

If App is used outside of a Wi-Fi area, any agreements between you and your mobile network provider shall apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider (or by any third parties) for the costs of data while using the App. By using the App, you accept responsibility such charges, including roaming data charges, if you use the App outside of your home territory (i.e., Region or Country) without turning off the data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which the App is used, please be aware that we assume you have received permission from the bill payer in order to use the App.

I may amend this GTC from time to time. Such amendments shall be effective as soon as posted on this page. Therefore, you are strongly advised to review this page periodically, in order to be promptly informed about any amendments to this GTC
